It isn’t every day you get a solar eclipse, but on August 21, 2017 that is exactly what happened here. We had recently been contacted by a new venue owner who wanted to showcase the location called Fell Stone Manor.

Without the best wedding photos ever, it’s impossible to advertise and of the gorgeous wedding venues to engaged couples. People need to see what their wedding day will potentially look like. But how do you do that when the venue is brand new?

You plan a styled shoot!

A styled shoot is basically where a wedding planner pulls together a team of vendors to set up a mock wedding. Fake bride, fake groom, fake invitations, fake everything. Everyone walks away with great photos and video of their work that they can also use to advertise.

The original date was in June until I realized that an eclipse would be happening later that Summer. Talk about your unique wedding ideas, how cool would it be to get married on the same day of some major astrological phenomenon?

Inspired by the universe, we created a whimsical wedding theme using various shades of blues and purples. There were two completely different set ups: one outside and one inside the barn on site. We took advantage of every last inch of the property and made sure to capture the eclipse as well.

This boho wedding styled shoot included upscale wedding centerpieces and glamorous wedding decorations. The luxury wedding details included the massive lighting installations that lined the driveway after dark. Even the outdoor ceremony space featured a flood of purple lighting to show potential couples how they could hold a nighttime ceremony with ease.
