Christine and David got married in Moab Utah at The Red Cliffs Lodge on a beautiful October day in 2023. This was one of the fastest weddings we have ever planned having not even made contact with Christine until June of that same year. Despite the time crunch, we were able to secure incredible vendors who brought their A-game to this celebrity wedding.

Red Cliff Lodge is set along the gorgeous Colorado River and was actually a favorite location of David’s. Christine was so open to all of David’s ideas but David’s main thing was getting married at this spectacular place.
One look at the photos will tell you why…and believe me when I say, the photos do not do this place justice.

While Red Cliffs Lodge is a beautiful place that hosts events, this was going to be a massive wedding. Christine and David had a guest count of over 300 people, which meant a lot of adjustments had to be made.
They have a beautiful spot for the ceremony and having that backdrop meant we didn’t need to go too crazy with the flowers. But, our florist did an incredible job of creating the perfect flower combination for Christine and David’s arch.
As the day moved on, the light changed constantly, and by the time of the reception, this area was bathing in a gorgeous golden hour glow. They literally had the most picture perfect weather for their big day.

On the grounds of Red Cliffs Lodge, they have an area that is covered and set for 100-150 guests. Obviously, with a guest count double that, we had to make some adjustments.
We used the already standing area for the dinner buffet and full bar for Christine, David, and all of their guests. Originally, we spoke about using the seating there already provided, but the tent that we would’ve needed to extend was not the best option. Stay tuned for how we fixed that problem later on in the blog…

The day started with Christine getting glammed up at a nearby home, while David and his group got ready on site at the venue. I traveled over to meet up with Christine while my team members stayed on site overseeing set-up and making sure there were no mistakes.
This picture perfect day allowed our talented photographer to step outside the location Christine was getting ready at to take the all essential detail pictures.

I brought over the beautiful bouquet from our florist so that our photographer would be able to complete the flat lay of all the details. Christine and David chose the most breathtaking colors that complimented the area so perfectly it was practically meant to be.
The soft blush, burnt orange, deep plum, and creamy ivory color combination was a total reflection of the beauty that is Moab. With every piece laid out, photos were taken right outside where Christine was getting her hair and makeup done and then brought back inside.

Back at the wedding venue, David and his crew were also getting ready. One of my favorite things about Red Cliffs Lodge was the on-site lodging. They had everything from standard hotel rooms to full on cabins. In fact, myself with my team stayed there as well and it’s crazy convenient and totally beautiful.
The groom photos were being done in conjunction with all of Christine’s prep that was taking place at her rental home. The key to making getting ready easy is definitely providing more than enough space for everyone including hair, make-up, photo, video and of course your planning team. Thankfully, they both had great locations!

While Christine and David were busy getting ready, our team was on site making sure every last detail was accounted for. As I said earlier, this was a big wedding with a huge guest count, which meant we had to bring in a lot of rentals to make this happen.
A beautiful tent was set up the night before the wedding along with all of the tables and chairs. Our florist added gorgeous touches going up the sides of the tent including a beautiful center ceiling installation.
Christine loves snap dragons and we made sure to include those too!

Christine wasn’t big on the tall centerpieces so our florist created these stunning smaller arrangements working in all of those gorgeous red rock inspired colors. These pieces gave guests plenty of room at the tables and the candles created a romantic glow as the sun went down.

The tent side walls were tied back allowing for a beautiful flow of fresh air throughout the wedding day. It truthfully was the most picture perfect day weather-wise and exactly what every couple dreams of for an outdoor wedding.
Wedding Planner Tip: When coordinating rentals for a site, look at how each piece will go together including the types of chairs and chair padding.

Since the venue already had the ceremony arch available, which was elevated on a beautiful wood stage, our florist had the perfect backdrop to work with. I am still in awe over how beautiful this floral design was!
While, obviously, this piece wasn’t able to be moved, it served as a backdrop throughout the entire wedding. In fact, since this was outdoors, the sunlight was better certain times of the day, so even guests took advantage of this piece for their own photos as the evening went on.

Once all of the guests had arrived and were seated for the ceremony, we began the processional to get David and his officiant into place. Starting at the top of the hill, they walked down to the arch and David, awaited his bride.

The music changed to the song that Christine had picked out for her processional which was “I Get To Love You” by Ruelle. Christine had selected the exact lyric she wanted to walk to so as soon as we heard that, we sent her with her son down to get married to her soulmate!

The joy on David and Christine’s faces was present for the entire ceremony and as soon as they were pronounced married, they were beaming from ear to ear even more. All of the guests applauded for this newly married couple and we moved into the cocktail hour portion of the wedding while David, Christine, and friends and family took pictures.

While Christine and David did not have a traditional wedding party, their VIP members dressed in the colors of the wedding. Everyone looked so spectacular!

Once photos were done and the reception began, the toasts to the newlyweds started. David and Christine sat at their beautifully decorated sweetheart table and raised a glass to all of those with such sweet words to say.

For the wedding cakes, Christine and David wanted to have three different naked cakes that were decorated with fresh flowers. I do love sugar flowers but nothing beats incorporating your actual flowers into your wedding cake to tie it all together!

As the reception continued on, the sun setting provided the most breathtaking golden hour. Our incredible photographer took advantage of this new light and took David and Christine out of the tent to snap a few more stunning photos.

Christine and David took in their day perfectly…soaking up every last second from getting ready to walking down the aisle, to the first dance, last dance and everything in between.
The happiness that just beamed out of them was incredible and we are so glad they got to enjoy this incredible day and that we were able to plan it all together.

Wishing David and Christine a lifetime of happiness! Huge thank you to our incredible vendors, especially, Red Cliffs Lodge, Dani Sork Photography, and Magnolia and Lace….we could not have pulled this off without you!
